Green Beans with Paprika
Green beans steeped in a wonderful nutty flavor from browned butter. While caramelized onions and paprika added terrific depth to this simple dish.
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 lb green beans, cut unto 1 inch pieces (3 cups)
- salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- Fry the onion in butter until soft (~5 minutes)
- Add paprika, beans, salt, and water. Simmer until tender (~25 minutes)
- Mix flour with sour cream, then stir into beans. Simmer for 5 minutes.
